Origin of Name
A nymph from Cyprus. Gave birth to three of Zeus' (Jupiter's) sons. Himalia was officially named in 1975 despite calls to give it a proper name shortly after the discovery of it and Elara a month later. It was the 6th moon to be discovered around Jupiter
